AGI - Graphic Design Since 1950

Edited by Ben and Elly Bos<br>Thames &amp; Hudson, &pound;36.00

AGI: Graphic Design since 1950. The first 600-odd pages of this 800-page brick contain work by most of this self-described ‘élite club’, from founding father Donald Brun to recent recruit Garson Yu (Desperate Housewives titles co-designer), via Kari Piippo and Kiko Farkas. The end prints 33 essays, by Margaret Calvert (‘Battle of the Serif’), Paula Scher (on scale), David Gentleman (on stamps), etc. Though groaning with fine work across six decades, it is oddly indigestible.
