Birmingham Design Festival 2024

Get ready for BDF 2024 (6-8 June) as the annual event focuses on ‘Process’ in graphic, digital and product design plus illustration

We are looking forward to Birmingham Design Festival next month, which Eye is supporting as a media sponsor. This year it explores the theme of ‘Process’ and features more than 80 speakers, many of whom have been featured in Eye over the years. These include Jessica Hische (Eye 75), Annie Atkins, Daniel Eatock (Eye 73), Michael Johnson (Eye 73), Aurélia Durand, Stefanie Posavec, Hamish Muir (Eye 94), Jim Sutherland (Eye 101) and our neighbour David Pearson (Eye 77).

Now in its sixth year, the festival takes place from 6-8 June across Birmingham City Centre. There are three days of free talks around four ‘Design Districts’ covering Graphic, Digital, Product and illustration. Evening events feature ‘three of the industry’s finest headline speakers’ at Birmingham’s Giant Screen. In addition to talks, you can attend workshops, exhibitions, design tours and more across the three days.

The BDF attracts visitors and speakers from around the globe and is a must for anyone interested in graphic design and visual culture – book your tickets now!

Eye is the world’s most beautiful and collectable graphic design journal, published for professional designers, students and anyone interested in critical, informed writing about graphic design and visual culture.
