Here are a few links to sites, articles and videos that grabbed our attention over the past week.

The Design Museum’s longlist for their Design Awards in seven categories: Architecture, Digital, Fashion, Furniture, Graphics and Transport and Product.
The ‘Digital’ category includes Musicity, the Guardian iPad edition (Mark Porter) and UVA’s High Arctic (top) at the National Maritime Museum, while ‘Graphics’ includes Richard Turley and Bloomberg Businessweek, (see ‘Taking care of business’ in Eye 80) the Blackpool Comedy Carpet, Beauty Is In The Street (
Four Corners) and the GF Smith Digital Campaign by 
Sea Design and Field (see cover of Eye 80 and ‘10,000 one-offs’).

Eye is the world’s most beautiful and collectable graphic design journal, published quarterly for professional designers, students and anyone interested in critical, informed writing about graphic design and visual culture. It’s available from all good design bookshops and online at the Eye shop, where you can buy subscriptions, back issues and single copies of the latest issue. The latest issue, Eye 81, has the theme of ‘Designers and clients’.
